Hello, my name is Jameson K. Hirsch, Ph.D., and I am a Clinical Psychologist at East Tennessee State University. I am conducting an online survey on the effects of cancer on daily life, your feelings, and how you cope with cancer. I hope to receive responses from anyone who currently has cancer or is recovering from cancer, as well as any persons providing care to someone with cancer, or anyone who is a friend or family member of someone with cancer.
Essentially – I want to better understand how you are coping with the experience of cancer, whether as a patient, caregiver or loved one. Little is known about the emotional health and well-being of individuals with cancer or the important people in their life; thus, your participation will help to raise awareness about such issues and will help healthcare professionals to better understand how to help those experiencing or recovering from cancer.
Your participation entails filling out a short survey. Participation in this survey is completely voluntary and confidential. It will take about 25-40 minutes to complete the survey. I would greatly appreciate it if all individuals who are experiencing, or who have experienced, cancer, as well as their caregivers and loved ones, would support the research by completing the survey found at this link:
Thank you for your time and support. I greatly appreciate your assistance.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
