Subject: Join Us TOO in attending ZERO’s 2010 Summit to End Prostate Cancer in Washington DC, Sept 14-16, 2010.
Carrying forward Us TOO’s 20th Anniversary’s PASSION TO ACTION theme, I invite the Us TOO network of support group chapters, volunteers, patients, survivors and our family members to join together with one voice this year in Washington DC to increase our Federal government’s attention on prostate cancer research and patient needs.
Attend ZERO’s 2010 Summit to End Prostate
Cancer, which will focus on effective strategies for increasing the Federal investment in prostate cancer research. During the Summit, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with their elected officials on Capitol Hill.
ZERO’s event is part of many other prostate cancer-related events being held in our nation’s capital under the umbrella: Advance on Washington: Pushing for Progress in Prostate Cancer. Prostate cancer researchers and advocates will converge in Washington D.C. during the week of September 12 during National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, providing a unique opportunity to bring awareness to this disease that affects more than 2.5 million American men and their families. Hosting organizations include PCF, ZERO, PHEN and the National Black Caucus.
On Sept 16 at 8:00 pm at the Warner Theatre in Washington DC, there will be a special Charlie Wilson Concert for Prostate Cancer. Mr. Wilson is a prostate cancer survivor, and former lead singer for the legendary GAP Band. Tickets can be purchased at
